When the Black Friday sales end (eventually!) then you know that it will be swiftly followed by the festive season. That means that your thoughtful friends are trawling the internet for ideas, making Christmas present lists and dropping subtle hints about what they would like Santa to bring them. So, if (like me) you haven't finished your shopping maybe I can help you find the perfect presents for your hot tub owning friends.
Cool gift ideas for hot tub owners
We know from personal experience that there a few 'essentials' that keep hot tub owners happy. In most cases, they're just everyday items, but they will make spending a few hours in the tub even more relaxing and luxurious. So if you have a friend or loved one that owns a hot tub and you want to buy them the perfect gift, we have listed some of our favourites below. If you own a hot tub yourself, then make sure they're on your wish list too.
Bath robe - something warm and cosy to wear going to and from the hot tub in the winter. Or cool cotton, for the summertime and sitting in the garden between cool dips.
Slippers, flip-flops or slip on shoes - something comfy, with firm, non-slip soles for walking on wet or frosty grass, paving or decking. They'll definitely thank you for this, especially if the tub is a bit of a walk from the house.
Unbreakable glassware - Glass is not recommended to be used around hot tubs since it can be very dangerous when if it breaks. LED plastic wine glasses are great for outdoor entertaining, especially around pools and hot tubs.
Portable towel heater. This is my favourite. It does have to be plugged in, so you would have to have your tub situated close to the house, barn or other building. For me, this just makes the whole hot tub home spa experience even more luxurious.
Hot tub hat - particularly useful in the summer to stop sun-burn, but we also recommend wearing a tub hat in winter. Keep your head warm and it stop you catching a nasty cold.
Personalised hot tub or sauna sign - You can't go wrong with a sign and there are stacks of sellers on Etsy offering a wide range of personalised tub and sauna signs
New swimming trunks or costumes - some people do still wear them, especially when they have guests round (although we have been told that most people go in the tub and sauna naked!)
Towels - you can never have enough towels, and the bigger the better!
Aromatherapy - we're often asked if there are any scented oils that could be used in the hot tub, to enhance the bathing experience. Unfortunately adding scented oils to a hot tub will affect the filter and could cause damage, but there are some safe scented products you can buy. We love the InSPAration range, all tried and tested and suitable for hot tub use.
Plastic card games - if the kids enjoy the hot tub as much as the grown-ups why not get them some waterproof playing cards?
