Holiday businesses with Hot Tubs Part 2

Updated: Aug 25, 2022

Because we were awaiting some extra feedback and photos, this week we're continuing our Businesses with Hot Tubs theme with four more great reviews and fabulous photos. My particular favourite is one from Sophie Stokes, read on and you'll see why.

Luxury facilities

If you're in the business of holiday letting, then you will want to give your property the best possible chance to stand out above the competition. Maybe I'm biased, but the Google statistics are there for all to see - hot tubs are good for business! There are also lots of reports and articles clearly showing that holiday lets with hot tubs do much better than those without. For a start, people are prepared to pay a little more for luxury facilities, especially if they are fun, family sized and for their sole use. But whatever the size or type of business you own, whether it's a romantic couple's retreat, such as Les Bardeaux, or a grand, chambre d'hotes like Chateau Gioux, your guests are guaranteed to have a much more relaxing holiday experience.

Impressive views

Providing guests with a peaceful haven where they can escape for a long weekend or a couple of weeks is easy in France, because there are so many areas of stunning lush green countryside, And if the hot tub is going to be a memorable feature of your holiday home or business, then you should make the most of the incredible views. What could be better than relaxing in a warm tub of gently massaging bubbling water with someone special, while gazing out across an area of outstanding natural beauty?

An impressive view is a desirable attribute that makes for a truly wonderful, memorable and relaxing holiday. But, even if you don't have the views, enhance the solitude and sanctuary of the hot tub by strategically placing plants, fencing or a gazebo. It will add for extra privacy and offer some protection from the elements.

Les Bardeaux Gites

That last statement can be backed up by the feedback we have received in the last few days. Craig and Sophie own Les Bardeaux Gites in the heart of the Périgord Vert area, Dordogne. And they go to a lot of trouble to make sure their guests are happy. Their beautiful gite is in a very relaxed environment close to the national park, lakes, hiking, kayaking and lots of other great activities - that's if you can drag yourself away from the tranquil gardens and the hot tub!

"We bought our 2 person wood fired hot tub from Hot Tubs In France earlier this year (June 2022) and it was installed in the private, enclosed garden of one of our holiday gites. We market this particular gite as a couple’s retreat and since installing the hot tub our gite has been virtually fully booked, and will be until at least the end of September. Guest feedback has been very positive indeed.

The 2 person hot tub is efficient, quick and easy to clean, doesn’t take too much water to fill and heats up in way under 2 hours - which is all really helpful on gite change over days. It looks smart too! Thanks so much Nicola and Tim for your swift and professional service.

- Sophie Mills, Les Bardeaux Gites.

Jude from La Maison d'Été, near Rom 79120, sent us the following feedback -

"We get great pleasure in hearing our guests enjoying the hot tub in both the summer and winter. Young and old are enjoying either cooling down or warming up depending on the weather".

What a great photo of their very inviting gite hot tub. I think with the recent change in the weather we'll all soon be firing up the wood-burners, just to take the chill off the water.

La Longere Rose, near Melle, 79500

Sarah and Blake own this very pretty property just 10 minutes drive from the bustling historic market town of Melle in the Deux-Sevres. They are a lovely couple who seem to be truly enjoying life in France. Blake is very practical and has worked hard on renovating their 3 gites, whilst Sarah has created a lovely, friendly environment for guests and their families to enjoy. They bought two Burford Deluxe tubs to complement the fabulous facilities they already offer at La Longere Rose.

"Been up and running since July and our guests are loving them. I bought 2 hot tubs and I leave the guests instructions so they light them themselves. Easy to light, cheap to run, adds value to guests accommodation perfect if you want to extend the season or just open over the Christmas/New Year". - Sarah & Blake Hendy.

Within touching distance of La Longere Rose is another of our recent deliveries. Admittedly not a holiday business, but when Sophie Stokes sent me a review and a photo of her winding down just before she got in the hot tub I couldn't resist adding it to the blog. She admits herself it's her "C3PO look", but apparently the facemask smells fabulous and makes your skin feel amazing too.

So here's Sophie before - wearing an Evolve bio-retinol face mask, drinking a cup of CBD herbal tea with coconut - and after, in her wood-fired Burford Deluxe hot tub, an early birthday present from her husband. Loving the gold-plated look Sophie! You can check out these amazing product on her Facebook business page - jolimoi.jolievie.sophie

Sophie did also leave us a great review on Google after receiving her surprise present.

"My hot tub was a 50th birthday present...a little early, so we could enjoy it all summer. It's easy to heat and maintain and just wonderful.to relax in....either hot for cool evenings or simply left cool, which has been especially useful this extremely hot summer. It's a family gathering point with no distractions like phones or TV, so we all relax and chat. It's perfect for clear star gazey nights. We love our hot tub! I should also add that the fab team delivered and installed it quickly and easily...friendly helpful service with zero stress. I would totally recommend". - Sophie Stokes, jolimoi.jolievie.sophie

As Seen On TV!

I'm sure lots of you will remember Nigel & Debbie Lawson from Chateau Gioux who were on the Channel 4 Escape to the Chateau DIY series a few years back. Recently they have appeared in the new C4 series - Chateau DIY - as they are still continuing their French chateau renovation and chambre d'hotes journey. In the episode on June 15th they moved the tub to a new raised platform, and Nigel told us 'our guests love the new view and watching the sunset'.

It certainly does look fantastic and the views are spectacular. But I'm looking forward to the next episode on September 1st which shows them creating a beautiful new gravel garden next to the hot tub. My TV satellite box thingy is already set up to record - can't wait.

Don't forget

This Sunday 28th August is our Open Day at Hot Tubs HQ (Puy Cerut, 87510 Peyrillac). You can't miss us, we'll be all fired up from 11am and showing off the Burford Deluxe and Kingham Hydro tubs.
