It's been a hectic few weeks since our last Hot Tubs On Tour event in July at Mad Hatter's Kitchen. The time has flown by. We have been busy delivering new tubs to different regions in France. And then, when the UK travel restrictions were eased, we had a wonderful week with our family that came to stay. We actually ended up going back to Mad Hatter's on one of the weekends to attend their Wonderland Hop music festival. What an experience that was! It's been a very long time since we've been to a music festival, and even longer since I went camping with the kids.
All good things
As the saying goes, 'All good things must come to an end', and now we are back in full work flow. We had planned to have another Hot Tubs Open Day in August, but with everything going on we decided to postpone it a month. So, I can now finally confirm that the next event will be on Sunday 12th September at Hot Tubs HQ in Peyrillac. It will start around 11am and finish at 4pm, and we will have our own lovely hot tub all wood-fired up, ready to go. I can't promise you'll see any alpacas in Peyrillac, unlike at Mad Hatters. But you may catch the odd glimpse of our two kittens, Benny and Bea, or Tilly the dog.
Best selling Burford
Although the Hydro has been popular, the original Burford Deluxe hasn't yet been knocked off the Best-seller top spot here in France. I could be wrong, but I think it's probably because we still have a great deal available for anyone buying the Burford Deluxe and insulated cover together. News travels fast when there's a money-saver offer around.
Considering we only added the new Burford Hydro tub to our collection a few weeks ago, it has been selling quite well. We are just waiting on the next delivery, which should be any day soon. Unfortunately, as is the case all over Europe, there have been delays because of driver shortages. But we do try and get regular updates from the supplier, so that we can keep our very patient, new customers up-to-date. If the delivery does arrive soon, we might even have a Hydro to demonstrate on September 12th. So, as well as finding out about all our current offers, this is another reason to book your personal Open Day appointment.
An 'untypical' summer
Weather-wise, it's not been a typical hot French summer this year has it? We have gone from torrential rain, to gale-force winds, glorious sunshine, and back to clouds again. The weather gods just can't seem to make their minds up. We have still made good use of our hot tub though, especially when the family were over. (I sometimes wonder what they love the most - me or the tub!) Luckily, we upgraded to the insulated leather cover earlier this year, and it is literally worth it's weight in gold. Being lightweight, it means I can lift it on and off by myself, saving Tim a job. Plus, we have found that the water stays warmer much longer with the insulated cover. That will definitely be a bonus in the autumn and winter.
All year round use
Although I enjoy being able to use the tub as a cool bathing experience when it is really hot, I just love using it when it's a little bit chilly, and I can relax in the warm, bubbling water. it definitely helps to soothe the body and soul. For anyone that owns their own hot tub you will have already experienced the health benefits of warm water bathing. It still surprises some of our new customers just how wonderful hydrotherapy and hydro-massage can be - especially at the end of a long, hard day at work or in the garden.
