The New Hydro Massage Hot Tub

Updated: Nov 10, 2021

Lots of different techniques and treatments come under the heading "hydrotherapy". If you think of a spa, where you have access to a swimming pool, whirlpools, hot tub, and sauna, then this is probably how most people understand it. Whereas a medical practitioner would describe and prescribe hydrotherapy as a course of treatment, with movements and exercises in water tailored to an individual's needs. Whatever your understanding is of "hydrotherapy", there is a lot less confusion about "hydro massage".

Simply put, a hydro massage combines heat and water jets to ease tension in the body. The combination of pressure and warm water is used to massage the muscles and soft tissue and stimulate the circulation. It has been scientifically proven to help alleviate muscle and joint pain, as well as some other medical conditions. Along with the buoyancy of the water, the warm jets can also relieve pressure on the joints. A good session of hydro massage can be fun, relaxing and really make you feel great!

Tell us something we don't know

If you already own a hot tub then you are probably thinking 'why is she telling us something we already know?' True. So now that I've cleared up the definitions and benefits of hydrotherapy and hydro massage, I'll get to the point.

Some customers that placed orders with us earlier this year for the Burford Deluxe hot tub were disappointed, but very understanding, when we called to say there was going to be a long delay. Unfortunately, because of manufacturing delays that were outside of our control, these had a knock-on effect to our delivery schedules.

However, it wasn't all doom and gloom for our new customers because we managed to source a truck load of newly designed Burford Hydro tubs. Same high specifications as the Deluxe, but with the added bonus of having 'a state-of-the-art combined Air & Hydro massage system'. Plus, after some lengthy negotiating, we managed to get the Hydro tub with the insulated heat-retaining cover included. All this at a reduced price for a limited period.

Every cloud has a silver lining

Our waiting customers were offered first refusal on the new tubs and were able to upgrade their orders to the Burford Hydro. Those that accepted have all had their new tubs delivered and the feedback has been fantastic. We have also been able to offer new orders from recent events at the same price. Sadly, the beginning of September will see the end of the Introductory Offer of €5557, and the price will go up to €5757. It's been extended once from the end of July to the end of August. So even though we can order more of the Burford Hydro tubs, I honestly don't think we will have this great offer again on this complete package.

What's included

Just to be completely clear, what you get for €5557,00 is all of the following:

  • Hand-crafted fibreglass tub, made to the highest possible specifications

  • Nordic sourced wood cladding, which is then triple treated for longevity

  • Ample space for 5-6 people to relax

  • 1 hour heat-up time in optimum conditions

  • Lightweight design

  • Internal multi colour change, high-output single LED light

  • Combined Air & Hydro (water) massage system, with adjustable outlets for a tailored massage

  • Stainless steel flue and internal boiler

  • High-grade Grade 304 Chlorine-Resistant Materials

  • Chimney guard

  • Drinks holder with Wine Chiller

  • Luxury, light-weight, leather insulated cover

  • Deluxe steps

  • Rain cowl

  • Tension Bands for longevity

  • Insulating fibres within the layers of fibreglass (ensures no rodent risks to electrics as with spray foam insulation)

  • Drain tap with Hose-lock fitting - meaning you can empty and fill you tub via your hosepipe

  • Chlorine water treatment pack

  • 24 Months Warranty (does not cover accidental damage, or general wear and tear)

  • Delivery and Installation

Additional information

So that you have all the information you need to decide whether the Burford Hydro is the tub for you, I just want to point out a couple of differences between this tub and the Burford Deluxe.

Because the adjustable water jets use air and water to deliver a soft, powerful massage, it means that some water could be present in the jets even when the tub is not in use. Extra care needs to be taken, and to reduce the chance of bacteria build up in the jets we recommend using a chemical treatment to keep the water safer and cleaner for longer. That's not to say that you can't use a non-chemical treatment. But if you do then the water would need to be emptied more frequently. Also, if the tub is not in use, then you must ensure it is completely emptied, and not left to stand for any length of time. This is especially important in the colder months, because if the temperature drops below freezing and there is any water still in the jets, then it can freeze and cause irreparable damage to your tub.

"Enjoyed an hour in the tub and was surprised at just how relaxed I was. I wasn’t expecting that, so really impressed. The hydro massage worked amazing on my muscles and stiffness." AM (Brittany)

Any questions?

At the minute we don't have any more Hot Tubs On Tour events confirmed. If you would like to get in touch, then we are more than happy to give you a demo of our Burford Deluxe tub at Hot Tubs HQ (Peyrillac 87510). You can ask us anything, and if you bring your swim gear you can even try it out. Alternatively, give us a call or send us an email, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
