What's Going On at Hot Tubs HQ

We have never known a month quite like it. This July has probably been one of our busiest months EVER, in terms of deliveries and family and friends coming to stay. On top of that we were also finally able to confirm the addition of the two new Hydro tubs to the Hot Tubs In France range. To say there has been a lot of interest in these filtration-friendly, 'squircle' shaped tubs is an understatement!

Non-stop deliveries

My phone has been red-hot with calls from holiday home owners, gite businesses and existing customers wanting to buy new and upgrade their existing Air tubs to the one of the Hydros. We're getting on top of all the new orders and delivering non-stop to get all current orders out, so we can have a couple of days off when our next visitors arrive this weekend.

Some of our latest deliveries

Sadly, we had to cancel our stand at the Verteuil night market because they couldn't guarantee we would have the necessary access to drive the van and trailer right up to our stand. So we couldn't risk having to haul a tub and all our equipment long distance and back again very late at night. We're truly disappointed that we can't go - it's such a beautiful town and one that we have wanted to visit for a long time. But, these things happen and I'm sure we will get to visit one day.

Every cloud...

The good news is that because of our own Hot Tubs HQ Open Day on Sunday August 28th, several of the people who had planned to visit us in Verteuil are now coming to see us at HQ instead. We can't promise it will be as exciting as the night market with all it's lovely artisan stalls, but you will have a chance to compare - side by side - the best selling Burford Deluxe and the new Kingham Hydro.

The other Brucie bonus is that if you want to try one or both of the tubs, then we have a changing room on site. (I don't think that would have been an option in the middle of a busy market). We'll also be serving hot and cold drinks - tea, coffee, beer, fizz and water - from 11am until 4pm. If you can't make it on the day then we are happy to arrange private viewings by appointment only.

Call or email and give us a times and dates when you're available, plus a few days notice. We will do our very best to fit you in around our delivery schedule.

Boost your business

As I mentioned earlier, we've had a number of enquiries from astute holiday business owners wanting to know more about our hot tub's range, and how it can boost their business. One very obvious way is that it can extend your holiday season because unlike an unheated pool, a hot tub can be used all year round. We're not suggesting that you keep your gites, camping or glamping sites open for 12 months (not unless you want to), but it definitely gives your property an advantage over other holiday businesses. And, with a private hot tub listed as one of your onsite facilities that another tick on a family's holiday checklist. Guests will also be willing to pay a little bit more for the added luxury, so your hot tub will easily pay for itself in a year or two.

There are lots more reasons why a hot tub can help boost your business, but don't just take my word for it. Remember our blog series a couple of years ago about holiday businesses? Well, our next blog will feature several of our old and new hot tub business owners. So you'll be able to read their feedback, their customers' reviews and see a few of photos. Great businesses like Phillipe and Lynda's Le Gouty Retreats and Carole and George's La Libellule Gites in the Dordogne.

Keep your eyes peeled for our next blog. Not only will you find some fantastic places to stay in France, but if you own a gite, camping, glamping or any other type of holiday business then adding a wood-fired eco tub could be the boost you need.

Get in touch

If you are a business owner and would like to share your personal feedback with all our happy hot tub family members, we'd love to hear from you. To get a mention all we need are a couple of photos, a few words from you or your customers and the link to your website (preferably) or Facebook page. We do have a deadline though, and if you want some free publicity please make sure you contact us by 19th August at the very latest.

Don't forget Sunday 28th August at Hot Tubs HQ, Puy Cerut, near Peyrillac 87510. We'll be set up and raring to go from 10.45am until 4.45pm. Bring your swimwear, flipflops and towels if you want to try out the two demo tubs. In the meantime, Happy Hot Tubbing!
